Fast fixes for torn and loose screens

A single torn panel lets in bugs, leaves and lizards, and in a strong wind a small tear can quickly spread. We replace damaged panels and loose spline so your enclosure is sealed again, without redoing screens that are still in good shape.

Common repairs

  • Torn or punctured panels from branches, pets, kids’ toys or storm debris
  • Popped or loose spline, where the screen has pulled out of its channel
  • Sagging roof panels stretched by wind, rain or debris
  • Storm damage after summer thunderstorms or tropical weather
  • Door screens and kick panels that take the most wear. Yes, we repair screen doors and kick plates.
  • Loose or rusted screws around the damaged area

Repair, rescreen or restore?

At your estimate, we look at the whole enclosure, not just the hole.

  • Repair makes sense when only a few panels are damaged and the rest of the screen is in good shape.
  • Rescreening is better value when many panels are faded, brittle or patched.
  • Full restoration is the right call when the frame coating is faded or chalky and the screws are rusting. It includes new fasteners, a marine-grade coating and new screen, for about 60% less than replacing the enclosure.

We will explain the options and let you choose. There is no pressure to do more than you need, and a repair today does not stop you from restoring the whole enclosure later.

Small damage, bigger problems

A torn panel is not just about bugs. Wind gets into the opening and pulls on neighboring panels, and debris that lands inside ends up in your pool filter. Fixing a tear early is the cheapest way to keep your enclosure working.

Screen options

Replacement panels can be matched to your existing screen or upgraded:

  • 18×14 fiberglass insect screen
  • No-see-um mesh for tiny biting insects
  • Glas-Shield
  • Bronzetone

After a storm

Central Florida’s summer storms and hurricane season are the most common causes of screen damage. After a storm:

  1. Check for torn panels, popped spline and bent or loose members.
  2. Take photos for your records. Insurance claim paperwork after storms is offered in partnership with a restoration company.
  3. Remove loose debris from the roof screen if it is safe to do so from the ground.
  4. Call us at 407-250-1838 or request a free estimate.

Do not climb onto the enclosure roof. It is not built to hold a person’s weight.

Frequently asked questions

Can you repair just one panel?

Yes. We replace only the panels that are damaged. Small repairs are welcome; a minimum service charge applies.

How quickly can you repair storm damage?

It depends on our current schedule. Call 407-250-1838 and we will give you the next available date.

Will a new panel match my old screen?

We can match your existing screen type. On older enclosures the new panel may look brighter than faded neighboring panels, so we will tell you if a full rescreen would look more even.

Should I repair or replace my whole enclosure?

Usually neither replacement nor patching is the answer if the screen and coating are worn. A full restoration fixes both for about 60% less than a new enclosure.

Do you charge for estimates?

No. Estimates are free.
